Font Details
Neither strictly geometric nor grotesque, Isomer’s design explores all that is prototypical in modern type. A narrow aperture and unfussy appearance, with proportions that allow comfortable reading, don’t compromise on impact when scaled up to display sizes.
With separate width and weight axes, as well as matching italics, the real strength of the Isomer font family is versatility. Isomer’s expanded styles are about 75% wider than their condensed counterparts, opening up a generous design space to explore. Stem widths and x-heights are optically synchronised across each font, so styles can be intermixed without requiring manual adjustments.
Italic styles have widths matching the upright fonts, but do stray from traditional sans-serif obliques. Curved strokes are partially relaxed, and terminate at more natural angles. This gives the italic font styles a more open appearance compared to similar grotesques.
